Garden Club
Lincoln Elementary is proud to provide the opportunity for students to learn the important life skill of gardening! Garden Club typically runs from May-October, with plenty of family and community involvement throughout the summer months. During Garden Club, students learn about seeds, plants, soil, bugs, watering, and the many benefits of growing their own food! This is a great Project Based Learning opportunity for your child. We look forward to having your child in this afterschool program.

Garden Activities
We have special guest presenters helping us learn more about pollinators, growing your own veggies, irrigation and other garden topics. We have parents that are leaders in our program who assist with the knowledge of the garden beds, supervision, and mentoring our young gardeners. There are also hands-on experiences planting, digging, watering, harvesting and tasting our garden plants.

Learning Garden
We work to plant and maintain the learning garden throughout the year so that students can come work the dirt, harvest the food, and then sample their garden produce. Produce is also given to the cafeteria to use in school lunches as well as given out to students and their families.

Meeting Times
The Garden Club meets once a week during both the spring and fall, and also continues to meet weekly throughout the summer.
